Biplane

Biplane

In some ways, it was a toy wooden biplane that got me started down this path of making - or at least of appreciating the art of making the the craft itself, rather than simply the end product. So it only felt fitting that my next project be a biplane.

This piece is cut from one 12x12in sheet of basswood and assembled using the pegs and CA glue. Pieces were painted before gluing and the whole thing was finished with a semi-gloss acrylic varnish.
